The hotel is situated in a strategic location close to Pwllheli beach, offering easy access to various tourist spots like Porthmadog and Cricet Castle. The rooms, although up two flights of stairs, were well appointed and comfortable for my two-night stay in December. The friendly service, especially from Liz who quickly resolved an overpayment issue, added to a pleasant experience overall.

The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, located on the third floor up two flights of stairs but worth the climb.

The staff truly bends over backwards to assist and are exceptionally friendly, ensuring a great stay.
Location

The hotel's location was convenient, allowing easy parking nearby and offering proximity to Pwllheli beach. While a bit far from Portmeirion, it led to unexpected discoveries of other attractions like Porthmadog and Cricet Castle, enriching our trip.

The Welsh breakfast was traditional and satisfying, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. However, the portion was a bit limited for the price but still a good value for a hearty meal during the stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was interesting, offering unexpected discoveries, though a bit far from main tourist spots. The friendly service was a plus, but the dining options and the layout of the rooms were underwhelming.

I stayed on the top floor with narrow stairs, making it a challenge. The room temperature was hard to adjust due to the layout, being either too hot or cold.

The staff, especially Liz, were quick to resolve payment issues and were very helpful and friendly during my stay.

The hotel's location led me to discover unexpected tourist spots, but it was a bit far from the main attractions. Close to a nice beach and residential areas.

The Welsh breakfast was disappointing for the price paid. Limited options for the cost, so I wouldn't recommend spending extra on it.

Staying in the rooms above the pub might not suit everyone, but my experience was fantastic. The room was warm, comfy, and had adequate facilities. It was basic but clean, and they even managed to fix a broken light on a bank holiday weekend. However, there were a few unpleasant guests around.

The room above the pub was surprisingly warm and comfy with adequate facilities. It was basic but clean, and they even fixed a broken light on a busy August bank holiday weekend.

The service was really wonderful. Despite a small mishap of giving our table to someone else, the staff were really helpful and friendly, making the stay quite enjoyable.
Location
7.0
The location turned out to be strategic for us as first-timers in the area. While initially aiming for Portmeirion, we discovered more tourist places like Porthmadog and Criccieth Castle. Although a bit far from Portmeirion, the hotel was only about 10 minutes from the town center and right near the beach and sea.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was a mix. While the English breakfast was straight off Greasy Joe's menu and not worth the extra £8, it was always the traditional English style. However, some shareable appetizers made the dining slightly better.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were average but served their purpose adequately for a short stay.
